Trench Excavation Standards for PVC-O Water Supply Pipes and Optimal Backfill Soil Quality
1. Ensure the success of your project by adhering to the highest industry standards for trench excavation. This guarantees a strong foundation and optimal performance.
Preventing pipelines from being laid within permafrost layers is crucial. By comprehensively analyzing and summarizing local geological data, you can expertly determine the trench excavation depth. This ensures efficient backfill operations, vital for avoiding pipeline and interface cracking due to bending stress. Key requirements are outlined as follows:
(1) Trenches must be immaculately straight. The bottom width should not be less than the pipe's outer diameter plus 0.5m, ensuring an overall width of no less than 0.7m. This provides optimal stability for your pipeline.
(2) Maintain precise bottom depth with exacting care-neither too deep nor too shallow. In cases of excess gravel, backfill and compact to the specified levels. If hard soil or obstacles, like stones, are encountered, the trench may be gently curved to facilitate construction. Ensure curves are gentle for consistent depth, preventing undue stress on pipes and joints. Increased water pressure can lead to joint leakage or rupture if not managed carefully.
2. Prevent permafrost-related foundation issues and potential trench settlement. During colder months, ensure trenches are placed on solid, undisturbed soil or well-compacted backfill. High soil moisture content can cause future permafrost melt and subsequent trench settlement, leading to pipe sinking, bending, and joint breakage due to increased stress. Minor issues may result in joint separation and leaks, while severe cases can cause rupture.
3. During winter, the pipeline bonding process must rigorously adhere to all established regulations to ensure system integrity.
Our advanced PVC-O tube adhesive, primarily composed of PVC-O solvent, works by applying adhesive to both the inner and outer surfaces of the socket. This process creates an expansion or dissolution effect on the PVC-O-polyurethane tube's surface, allowing extrusion pressure to unite these surfaces during socket insertion. The adhesive's solvent evaporates easily, reverting the dissolved surface to a solid state, thus maintaining substrate strength and ensuring bonding strength that meets pressure requirements.
Precisely control the adhesive quantity. Insufficient adhesive can compromise sealing and strength, while an excess may corrode and soften the pipe walls, leading to cracking under water or pressure. In cold conditions, slower adhesive volatilization increases penetration, weakening the pipe wall.
Adhere strictly to specification requirements for bonding pipe construction. Ensure adhesive application results in minimal overflow when the socket is inserted, which should be cleaned off promptly. Apply glue from the socket interior outward to prevent unwanted flow into the pipe internals.
4. Considerations for Thermal Expansion and Contraction of Pipes
With a thermal expansion coefficient of 0.07mm (m · ºC), PVC-O water supply pipes exhibit greater expansion than traditional materials. Consider temperature-induced longitudinal deformation, particularly in systems using surface water sources.
Thanks to the versatile scalability of the rubber ring connecting pipe interface, expansion or contraction issues are easily mitigated. However, for bonded pipes, especially the open type, post-bonding, the interface becomes rigid, lacking flexibility. Without installing expansion joints, the immense pressure from expansion or contraction could significantly impact the pipe structure or fittings.
Our pipes offer a world of connection methods, featuring the flexibility of solvent adhesive, elastic sealing ring, and integrated rubber ring connections. Furthermore, they seamlessly connect to other pipe varieties like cast iron through flanges or compatible adapters, offering a comprehensive solution for diverse piping needs.
Effortless Connection Program: Start by cleaning the working face meticulously ---- Then, apply lubricant generously ---- Finally, ensure a precise counterpart insertion for optimal performance.
1. Before installation, meticulously verify the quality of pipes, fittings, and rubber rings. Ensure the working face of both the socket and its counterpart are spotless, ready for a seamless assembly.
2. During installation, strategically position the socket towards the direction of incoming water flow, optimizing the system's efficiency and reliability.
3. Liberally coat both the rubber ring and the insertion section with a generous amount of lubricant. Take care to apply it in moderation to prevent any excess from seeping into the socket groove. This thoughtful precaution helps significantly reduce friction between the rubber ring and the groove wall, effectively preventing any potential overturning of the rubber ring. For the best results, we highly recommend using detergent and soapy water as lubricants.
4. Meticulously align the socket ports, ensuring the pipeline axis remains impeccably straight. This guarantees both stability and structural integrity, providing a flawless connection.
5. Securely equip both sides of the socket with the appropriate wire rope sleeves. Utilize a tightener (or hand wrench) to expertly pull them into the reticle with precision. For medium-caliber pipes, position square wood at the port and gently tap it into the socket with a mallet, ensuring a precise and snug fit.
