Crafted from high-performance rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC-UH), these superior water supply pipes are innovatively developed using polymer materials and essential additives. With an impressive MRS of ≥ 25Mpa, they are expertly extruded and molded to perfection. As a cutting-edge solution in water supply piping, these pipes significantly enhance the mechanical properties and connections compared to traditional PVC-U and PVC-M pipes.
The PVC-UH water supply pipes are engineered by refining the molecular chain of polyvinyl chloride, endowing the product with exceptional strength, high-pressure tolerance, and remarkable ring stiffness. These pipes excel under both internal and external pressures, making them ideal for pipe gallery installations. With superior toughness, high modulus, and minimal shrinkage, they boast over 45% ring flexibility and outstanding impact resistance, effectively adapting to temperature-induced stress in pipe galleries. Featuring built-in plastic inspection wells with high-pressure sealing capabilities, they ensure impeccable pipeline sealing. Their installation is swift and straightforward, resulting in low maintenance costs. Designed for a service life exceeding 50 years, they offer an exceptional blend of low investment and high cost-effectiveness.

PVC-UH Water Supply Pipe: Trench Excavation Standards & Backfill Soil Quality
1. Ensure trench excavation aligns with industry standards.
To avert the challenges of laying pipelines in permafrost layers, the trench excavation must be carefully planned using comprehensive local data. This meticulous approach ensures that backfilling operations are executed flawlessly, thus maintaining structural integrity by preventing bends and subsequent stress-induced cracks in pipelines and their interfaces. Key considerations include:
(1) Maintain a straight trench alignment. The trench's bottom width should exceed the pipe's outer diameter by at least 0.5 meters, with an overall width no less than 0.7 meters.
(2) Exercise precise control over the groove's depth-neither too deep nor too shallow. Excessive depth should be corrected by backfilling and compacting to the stipulated level. When faced with hard soil or obstacles like stones, which complicate trenching, the temptation might be to curve the trench or adjust its depth. Such deviations can lead to pipe bending, exposing pipes, fittings, and joint sockets to harmful bending stress. Increased water supply and pressure exacerbate joint leakage or result in catastrophic pipe and fittings failure.
2. Safeguard against permafrost foundations and trench settlement. During winter months, it is crucial that the pipe trench's base rests on undisturbed soil or dense ground post-backfilling. High soil moisture and loose foundations pose a risk; as temperatures rise, melting permafrost can lead to foundation subsidence. This may cause pipes to bend, joints to break, and additional stress to develop. Light stress might pull joints apart causing leaks, whereas severe stress could result in pipe ruptures.
3. Adherence to protocol for winter pipeline bonding is essential.
The PVC-UH tube adhesive primarily comprises a PVC-UH solvent. The bonding mechanism involves applying this adhesive to both the inner face of the socket and the outer face of the pipe's socket. This process causes the PVC-UH-polyurethane tube's surfaces to expand or dissolve. During socket insertion, the expanded areas amalgamate under extrusion pressure, forming a unified structure. The adhesive's solvent, highly volatile, evaporates, leaving a solidified surface, thereby preserving base strength and ensuring the bond meets pressure demands.
Adhesive application must strike a balance-not too scant to compromise sealing and strength, nor too abundant to cause corrosive overflow which could soften the pipe walls and lead to cracking under pressure. Cold-weather conditions magnify these risks, as slower adhesive volatilization results in deeper penetration, dramatically weakening the pipe at these points.
Comply diligently with specification requirements during pipe bonding. The bonding agent should be applied so that slight overflow at the interface edge occurs upon socket insertion, which should then be meticulously wiped clean. When gluing within the socket, start from the inside and move outward to prevent adhesive from infiltrating the pipe or fitting walls.
4. Addressing the thermal expansion and contraction of pipes.
The PVC-UH water supply pipe boasts a thermal expansion coefficient of 0.07mm (m · ºC), surpassing that of conventional pipes. It's imperative to account for longitudinal deformation due to temperature variations, particularly in water systems drawing from surface sources.
The versatile nature of the rubber ring connecting pipe interface ensures that scalability is never a concern. Yet, for bonded pipes, particularly open pipes, the interface post-bonding is rigid, incapable of expansion or contraction. Without the provision of an expansion joint, the substantial stress from expansion or contraction can bear down on the pipe itself or the pipe fittings, posing potential challenges.
Pipe connection methodologies encompass solvent adhesive, elastic sealing ring, and integrated rubber ring connections. Furthermore, these pipes can seamlessly integrate with other types such as cast iron pipes by utilizing flanges or other compatible adapters, ensuring versatile connectivity solutions.
Connection procedure: meticulously clean the working face ---- apply lubricant lavishly ---- expertly insert counterpart.
1. Prior to the installation process, it's imperative to thoroughly inspect the quality of pipes, fittings, and rubber rings, ensuring each element meets the highest standards. The working face of both the socket and the socket must be impeccably clean.
2. During pipe installation, the socket should conventionally face the direction of incoming water, optimizing flow and efficiency.
3. Generously apply lubricant to both the rubber ring and the insertion component. It's critical to apply an appropriate amount to prevent excess lubricant from seeping into the socket groove, which could reduce friction between the rubber ring and the groove wall, potentially causing the rubber ring to overturn. Detergent and soapy water are the preferred choices for lubricants.
4. Ensure the socket ports are precisely aligned, maintaining a perfectly straight pipeline axis.
5. Securely place suitable wire rope sleeves on either side of the socket, pulling them into the reticle with a tightener or hand wrench. For medium-caliber pipes, consider padding the port with square wood and gently using a mallet to ensure the socket is properly engaged.
