pvc-uh water supply pipe trench excavation standard, backfill soil quality
1. Trench excavation should comply with standards
In order to prevent pipelines from being laid in the permafrost layer, the depth of trench excavation should be determined after summarizing local data. In order to ensure that the backfill can be operated and tamped as required to prevent pipelines and interfaces from cracking due to bending stress, it is also required that:
(1) The trench should be straight. The bottom width of the trench is not less than the outer diameter of the pipe plus 0.5m, and the total width is not less than 0.7m.
(2) Strictly control the depth of the bottom of the groove, neither deep nor shallow. When the gravel is too deep, it should be backfilled and compacted to the specified depth. In places with hard soil and where obstacles are encountered, such as digging trenches and encountering hard objects such as stones, in order to reduce the difficulty of construction, the construction personnel will dig the trench into a curved place, or the radius of the curved place is small, or the depth of the trench cannot be guaranteed, which can easily cause the pipe to bend after laying, so that the pipe, pipe fittings and joint sockets are subject to bending stress. The rise of water supply and pressure can easily lead to joint leakage or pipe and fittings rupture.
2. Prevent permafrost foundation and avoid pipe trench settlement. During winter construction, it is necessary to ensure that the bottom of the pipe trench is located on the undisturbed undisturbed soil, or on the dense ground after backfilling after grooving. If the soil moisture content is high and the foundation is not dense, the temperature will rise in the coming year, the permafrost will melt, and the pipe trench foundation will sink, causing the pipe to sink, causing the pipe to bend and the joint to be broken, generating additional stress. If it is very light, the joint will be pulled apart and leak; if it is heavy, the pipe will rupture.
3. Winter pipeline bonding should be carried out according to regulations
The pvc-uh tube adhesive is mainly composed of pvc-uh solvent. Its bonding principle is to apply adhesive on the inner surface of the socket and the outer surface of the socket, so that the surface of the pvc-uh-polyurethane tube expands or dissolves, and the two expanded surfaces are squeezed into a whole by extrusion pressure during the socket insertion process. The solvent in the adhesive is easy to volatilize. After volatilization, the dissolved shallow surface becomes a hard solid again, which basically does not affect the strength of the substrate, so that the bonding strength meets the pressure-bearing requirements.
The amount of adhesive should not be too much or too little. If it is too little, it cannot guarantee sealing or strength. If it is too much, it will flow along the inner or outer wall of the pipe after the socket is inserted, corrode the pipe, soften the outer or inner wall of the pipe, and it is easy to crack from there when feeding water or pressurizing. Low temperature construction is more likely to cause accidents, because when the temperature is low, the volatilization rate of the adhesive is significantly slowed down, and the same amount of adhesive will cause the pipe wall to penetrate deeper, significantly reducing the strength there.
Therefore, the bonding pipe should be constructed in strict accordance with the requirements of the specification. The amount of bonding agent should be such that a small amount of bonding agent overflows from the edge of the interface after the socket is inserted into place. The overflowing adhesive agent should be wiped clean with a cloth. When applying glue in the socket, it should be applied from the inside out to prevent the adhesive from flowing into the inner wall of the pipe or fittings.
4. Thermal expansion and contraction of pipes
The thermal expansion coefficient of PVC-uh water supply pipe is 0.07mm (m · ºC), which is larger than that of traditional pipes. Attention should be paid to the longitudinal deformation caused by temperature difference, especially the water delivery system with surface water as the water source.
Due to the scalability of the rubber ring connecting pipe interface, this problem cannot be considered. However, for bonded pipes, especially open pipes, the interface after bonding is rigid and cannot be expanded or contracted. If no expansion joint is provided, the huge stress generated by expansion or contraction will act on the pipe itself or the pipe fitting.
Pipe connection methods are divided into solvent adhesive, elastic sealing ring, and integrated rubber ring connection. In addition, it can be connected to other types of pipes such as cast iron pipes through flanges or other suitable adapters.

1. Before installation, first check the quality of pipes, fittings and rubber rings, and wipe the working face of the socket and socket clean.
2. When installing pipes, the socket is generally facing the direction of incoming water.
3. Apply lubricant to the rubber ring and the insertion part. The lubricant should be applied in an appropriate amount to avoid the lubricant flowing into the socket groove and reduce the friction between the rubber ring and the groove wall of the socket, causing the rubber ring to overturn. The lubricant mainly uses detergent and soapy water.
4. The socket ports are aligned and keep the pipeline axis straight.
5. Put suitable wire rope sleeves on both sides of the socket and pull them into the reticle with a tightener (or hand wrench). Medium-caliber pipes can be used to pad the port with square wood and knock into the socket with a mallet.
