To ensure our Premium Quality Blue Pipe steers clear of permafrost layers, trench excavation depth must be meticulously determined following a comprehensive review of local geological data. Proper backfill practices are critical, ensuring that the fill material can be appropriately compacted to prevent detrimental bending stress that could compromise the integrity of the pipelines and connections. Therefore, it is imperative that:
(1) The trench maintains a straight trajectory. The trench bottom width should surpass the pipe's outer diameter by at least 0.5m, with an overall minimum width of 0.7m.
(2) The trench groove depth must be precisely managed to prevent excess or insufficient depth. Overly deep gravel areas necessitate backfilling and compacting to meet depth specifications. Encountering hard soil or obstacles-such as stones-may tempt laborers to curve the trench or reduce radius, which can threaten proper depth adherence. These misalignments potentially cause post-installation pipe bending, subjecting pipes, fittings, and joint sockets to undue bending stress. A rise in water pressure can further exacerbate joint leakage or trigger rupture in pipes and fittings.
2. Safeguard against permafrost foundation issues and avert pipe trench settlement. During winter projects, confirm that the pipe trench base rests on untouched soil or solid ground post-backfill. If high soil moisture is present and compaction is inadequate, the thaw of permafrost as temperatures rise will lead to trench foundation sinking. This may cause pipes to sag and joints to fail, leading to leaks or, in severe cases, pipe rupture.
3. Winter Pipeline Bonding: Strict Adherence to Standards
Our PVC-UH tube adhesive, primarily made of PVC-UH solvent, functions by coating the socket's inner and outer surfaces, expanding or dissolving their surfaces. When both surfaces are inserted together, the bonding process solidifies as the adhesive volatilizes, forming a strong, enduring joint that meets pressure requirements.
Proper adhesive application is crucial: insufficient amounts fail to ensure strength or seal integrity, while excess adhesive can lead to corrosion or softening of the pipe walls, posing a risk of cracks under water or pressure. Cold conditions slow the adhesive volatilization process, causing deeper wall penetration and significant strength reduction.
Hence, bonding must comply with strict specifications. The adhesive should just overflow at the joint edge upon socket insertion, and any excess should be promptly wiped clean. When applying within the socket, start from the interior and move outward, preventing adhesive intrusion into the pipe's inner surfaces.
4. Managing Thermal Expansion and Contraction in Pipes
Given the PVC-UH water supply pipe's thermal expansion coefficient of 0.07mm (m · ºC), greater than traditional pipes, manage longitudinal expansion due to temperature variances carefully. This is especially crucial for systems using surface water, as they are more susceptible to temperature-induced deformation.

Pipe connection methods include solvent adhesive bonds, elastic sealing rings, and integrated rubber ring systems. Moreover, versatility is key, as these pipes can also be connected to other types such as cast iron pipes via flanges or compatible adapters, offering a robust and flexible solution for diverse applications.

Balance is crucial; ensure enough to facilitate smooth insertion but not excess that may cause the lubricant to seep into the socket groove, reducing friction and risking the rubber ring's stability. Recommended lubricants include detergent and soapy water for optimal performance.
4. Precision Alignment: Perfectly align the socket ports, ensuring the pipeline axis remains uncompromisingly straight, facilitating a seamless connection.
5. Secure Connection: Employ suitable wire rope sleeves on either side of the socket. Utilize a tightener or hand wrench to pull them snugly into the reticle. For medium-caliber pipes, consider padding the port with square wood and gently drive the pipe into the socket using a mallet, ensuring a firm and secure fit.
