This ensures efficient backfill operations, essential for preventing pipeline and interface cracking due to bending stress. Here are the key requirements:
(1) Trenches must be meticulously straight, with the bottom width not less than the pipe's outer diameter plus 0.5m, ensuring a total width of no less than 0.7m for optimal stability.
(2) Rigorously maintain precise bottom depth-neither too deep nor too shallow. In cases of excessive gravel depth, backfill and compact to the specified levels. In areas encountering hard soil or obstacles like stones, trenches may curve slightly to facilitate construction. Ensure curves are gentle and depth is consistent to prevent pipe bending, which causes undue stress on the pipe, fittings, and joints. Increased water supply pressure can result in joint leakage or rupture.
2. Avoid permafrost-related foundation issues and potential trench settlement. During winter, ensure that pipe trenches rest on undisturbed soil or well-compacted backfilled ground.
