1. Adhere to Trench Excavation Standards
To ensure the highest standards of installation and reliability, trench excavation must avoid the permafrost layer. Comprehensive analysis of local geological data is essential to determine the precise depth of excavation. This meticulous approach ensures that the backfill process operates seamlessly, preventing any bending stress that could lead to pipeline or interface fractures.
(1) A linear trench is paramount. The bottom width of the trench must exceed the outer diameter of the pipe by at least 0.5m, with the overall width not falling below 0.7m.
(2) Maintain rigorous control over the trench groove's depth-neither too deep nor too shallow. In cases where gravel extends too deep, it should be backfilled and properly compacted to the specified depth. Encountering hard soil or obstacles like stones can complicate construction, leading to curved trench paths, inadequate trench depth, and potential pipe bending post-laying. Such scenarios subject pipes, fittings, and joint sockets to bending stress, increasing the risk of joint leakage or rupture under pressure. Proper precautions are essential to safeguard against these challenges.
2. Safeguard Against Permafrost Foundation Settling and Trench Settlement. During winter, ensure the pipe trench rests on undisturbed soil or compacted ground post-backfill. High soil moisture and non-dense foundations can lead to permafrost melting, trench foundation sinking, and subsequent pipe bending or joint breakage, generating additional stress. Light incidents may result in joint separation and leakage; severe cases could lead to pipe rupture.
3. Conduct Winter Pipeline Bonding in Accordance with Regulations
The adhesive for PVC-UH pipes is primarily constituted of PVC-UH solvent, designed to bond by applying it on both the inner and outer surfaces of the socket. This process causes surface expansion or dissolution, with the two surfaces merging under extrusion during socket insertion. As the solvent evaporates, the surfaces solidify without compromising substrate strength, ensuring the bonding strength meets pressure requirements.
Balance is key-adhesive quantity should be moderate. Insufficient adhesive compromises sealing and strength, whereas excess adhesive may overflow, corroding pipe walls upon insertion and causing potential cracking during water supply or pressurization. Low temperatures slow adhesive evaporation, allowing deeper penetration and weakening the pipe wall.
Thus, adhere strictly to specification requirements during bonding pipe construction. The adhesive should be applied so that a slight overflow occurs upon socket insertion, which should be promptly wiped clean. When applying within the socket, spread from the inside out to prevent adhesive from entering the inner pipe or fittings.
4. Address Pipe Thermal Expansion and Contraction
The PVC-UH water supply pipe's thermal expansion coefficient is 0.07mm (m · ºC), surpassing that of traditional pipes. Special attention is required for temperature-induced longitudinal deformation, especially in systems using surface water sources.

However, bonded pipes, particularly open designs, possess interfaces that, once set, lack the flexibility to expand or contract. Without the provision of expansion joints, the immense stress from thermal expansion or contraction could be transferred directly onto the pipe or its fittings, posing significant risks.
When it comes to connecting pipes, a variety of methods exist: from the reliable solvent adhesive to the versatile elastic sealing ring and integrated rubber ring connections. Beyond these, our pipes can seamlessly integrate with other types, such as cast iron, through the use of flanges or other specially designed adapters, ensuring a comprehensive solution for every piping need.
To achieve an impeccable connection, follow this streamlined procedure: meticulously clean the working surface, apply lubricant generously, and then proceed with the precise insertion of the counterpart.
1. Prior to installation, it is essential to thoroughly inspect the quality of pipes, fittings, and rubber rings. Ensuring the cleanliness of the socket and spigot working faces is crucial for a flawless installation process.
2. During the installation of pipes, ensure that the spigot is oriented in the direction of incoming water flow, optimizing the system's efficiency.
3. Generously apply lubricant to the rubber ring and insertion area, taking care to avoid excess that may flow into the socket groove. This precaution minimizes friction and prevents the rubber ring from overturning. For optimal results, a blend of detergent and soapy water is recommended as the lubricant.
4. Align the socket ports with precision, ensuring that the pipeline axis remains perfectly straight to facilitate a seamless connection.
5. Securely attach suitable wire rope sleeves on either side of the socket, drawing them into position with a tightener or hand wrench. For medium-caliber pipes, use square wood to cushion the port and gently drive it into the socket using a mallet, ensuring a snug fit.
