1. Trench excavation must adhere to established standards to ensure optimal performance and safety.
To prevent pipeline installation in permafrost layers, the trench excavation depth must be decided based on comprehensive local climate and soil data. Ensuring proper backfill compaction is crucial to avoid pipeline and interface cracking due to bending stress. Therefore, note the following requirements:
(1) Trench Alignment: The trench must remain straight, with a minimum bottom width exceeding the pipe's outer diameter by 0.5 meters, and an overall width not less than 0.7 meters.
(2) Depth Control: Precisely maintain trench bottom depth-avoid deviations. Over-excavation should be followed by backfilling and compacting to the specified depth. Obstacles such as stones in hard soil areas may lead to trench curvature, small radius turns, or inadequate depth, increasing construction difficulty, and causing post-laying pipe bending. Resultantly, this induces stress on pipes and fittings, leading to potential joint leakage or rupture under pressure.
2. Preventing Permafrost Impact and Trench Settlement: Winter construction necessitates placing the trench bottom on undisturbed or properly compacted backfilled soil. High soil moisture and insufficient compaction lead to permafrost melting and trench sinking, causing pipe bending, joint breakage, and additional stress, resulting in leaks or even pipe rupture.
3. Adherence to Winter Pipeline Bonding Regulations
PVC-UH Tube Adhesive: Composed mainly of PVC-UH solvent, the adhesive's effectiveness lies in its ability to expand or dissolve the socket's inner and outer surfaces. During insertion, extrusion pressure melds these surfaces, and once the solvent evaporates, the surface regains solidity without compromising substrate strength, thus ensuring bonding strength meets pressure requirements.
Optimal Adhesive Application: Balance is key. Insufficient adhesive jeopardizes seal and strength, whereas excess can flow, corrode, or weaken the pipe walls, increasing the risk of cracks under pressure. Low temperatures slow adhesive evaporation, leading to deeper penetration and reduced wall strength, heightening accident risk.
For optimal bonding, adhere strictly to specifications. Apply enough adhesive to witness slight overflow upon socket insertion-wipe clean the overflow. Apply glue from inside out to prevent adhesive ingress into pipe or fitting walls.
4. Managing Pipe Thermal Expansion & Contraction
The PVC-UH water supply pipe's thermal expansion coefficient is 0.07mm/m°C, higher than traditional pipes. Be vigilant about longitudinal deformation due to temperature changes, particularly in systems using surface water sources.
The remarkable flexibility of the rubber ring connecting pipe interface means that expansion or contraction issues are effortlessly managed. However, for bonded pipes, particularly the open types, post-bonding interfaces are rigid and lack the capacity to expand or contract. Without the provision of expansion joints, substantial stress from thermal expansion or contraction could impact the pipe or its fittings, potentially leading to structural concerns.
When it comes to connecting pipes, the methods are diverse: solvent adhesive connections, elastic sealing rings, and integrated rubber ring connections offer varied solutions. Moreover, adaptability is key, as these pipes can seamlessly connect with other types, such as cast iron pipes, through flanges or suitable adapters, ensuring versatile and comprehensive piping solutions.

1. Prior to installation, meticulously inspect the quality of the pipes, fittings, and rubber rings to ensure they meet standards. It's vital to thoroughly clean the working face of both the socket and spigot, preparing them for a seamless installation process.
2. During the pipe installation, it is customary for the socket to face the direction from which water will flow, ensuring optimal passage and functionality.
3. To facilitate a smooth installation, apply lubricant generously to the rubber ring and the insertion part. It is crucial to use an adequate amount to keep the lubricant from entering the socket groove, which could reduce friction and potentially cause the rubber ring to overturn. Ideal lubricants include detergent or soapy water for effective results.
4. Ensure that the socket ports are perfectly aligned as the pipeline axis remains straight, providing a stable and reliable connection.
5. For secure installation, place suitable wire rope sleeves on both sides of the socket. Use a tightener or hand wrench to pull them into the reticle. For pipes of medium caliber, use square wood to pad the port and gently knock it into the socket with a mallet, ensuring a firm and precise fit.
